Bama Baroque
Bama Baroque was founded in 2024 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama by Lindsey, harpsichordist Dr, Michael Delfin, and faculty and staff at the University of Alabama. It is one of the state’s only native, professional historical performance ensembles in history - and certainly the first of its intended scope and kind. Bama Baroque offers historically informed performances of Baroque and 17th- and 18th-century folk music on period instruments. With this unique blend of artistry and tradition, Bama Baroque seeks to connect with Alabama audiences in a way that feels both inspiring and familiar, while celebrating the state’s rich folk heritage. Bama Baroque is dedicated to accessibility, inclusivity, and community outreach, aspiring to become a cherished cornerstone of Alabama’s musical landscape.

Seven Hills Baroque
Lindsey joined Seven Hills Baroque (7HB) in 2023, serving as the ensemble’s chief violinist and Promotions and Media Manager. In her role, Lindsey liaisons with concert promoters, venues, and hosts to advertise concerts, and oversees 7HB’s publicity efforts on social media, radio, email, press, and more. Her work comprises a significant part of the ensemble’s mission to share historical performance with audiences across the Greater Cincinnati area and beyond.

Southeastern Early Music Community
The Southeastern Early Music Community (SEMC) is a Facebook group founded by Lindsey and her colleague Dr. Michael Delfin. SEMC aims to connect musicians, ensembles, and supporters everywhere to raise awareness for early music events across the southeastern United States. By promoting musicians, concerts, workshops, resources, and more, SEMC has fostered friendships and collaborations, made regional networking easier, and highlighted the far-flung but growing early-music community in the Southeast.

EMA Emerging Professional Leadership Council
Since 2024, Lindsey Tootle has proudly served on Early Music America’s Emerging Professional Leadership Council (EPLC). This board of young professionals collaborates with, and is mentored by, EMA’s Board of Directors, and together they advocate for the future of early music in the Americas. By engaging younger audiences through innovative projects, multimedia, creative programming, and more, the EPLC plays an important role in influencing the next generation of early music enthusiasts and practitioners.
